What Will Be The Future Of Twitter And Other Social Networking Sites?

Do you envision a world where we’re constantly reporting all of our smallest actions to everyone in the world?
or
Will we eventually get bored of it, see how ridiculous it is and try to remove ourselves from the ever advancing grasp of technology?
or
Will there be two definable groups of people enslaved by technology and those stuck rubbing sticks together to make fire?

I love Twitter. It is at the forefront of my healthy chocolate business success.
With that said, I see Twitter like the earlier DOS days of the PC. DOS was great as long as you knew how to use it. If there is a problem with Twitter this exact point is it. To understand how to use it takes more time than it should. However if one takes that time they can rocket to the top of Twitter without a great deal of effort simply because other people choose not to take that same time to really understand the power of Twitter.
Of course, their will always be those who stay in the dark of it. Truth be told their are those that believe the earth is really flat even today. That’s there choice, I personally can’t live that way.
So, what’s the future of Twitter? I see some type of GUI interface concept coming where it will be easy to add the tools a person wants to use without having to figure out where they are at first. A Twitter where everything can be already available on one page and each person can turn on or off whatever utility they want to.
That’s my answer and I’m sticking with it. :)

None of the above.
Very few people report their every action, and they chose to do it. We will continue using those website like we do today until something bigger and better comes along.
Technology is just a tool that extends peoples abilities. It cannot “take over” b/c we are quite far from building anything capable of independent thought. And when we do that, it will be very tightly watched and controlled, like any other machine.

Hopefully the second one. I personally hate twitter, but I love teh interwebs so it would be nice to kinda have a toned down version of what we have now.
But unfortunately web 3.0 is just over the horizon as with it Google wave so it will only get worse
